Overview

We are looking for an experienced mobile app developer or development team to implement advanced location tracking services in our AlertBuddies mobile application for Android and iOS.

AlertBuddies is a personal safety platform that allows users to notify trusted contacts (“Buddies”) in emergency situations and share their live location.

The goal is to implement location services similar to high-quality tracking apps.

Key Requirements

Implement background and real-time location tracking for monitored users, similar to top-tier location tracking apps.

Location updates should be delivered to monitors even if:

The tracked app is not in the background

The tracked app has been killed or recently closed

Handle scenarios where notifications or system services are required for reliable tracking (design approach is open to the developer’s expertise).

Integrate all existing backend APIs (54 APIs — 31 GET, 23 POST) with proper Keycloak authentication (JWT).

Ensure high performance, low battery consumption, and accuracy.

Maintain privacy and security best practices for location data.

Fully native implementation for both Android and iOS.

Deliverables

Native Android and iOS modules for advanced location tracking.

Documentation for setup, integration, and testing.

Demo app or feature module showing accurate background location tracking similar to Life360/Family Nest.

Recommendations for notification-based or system-based solutions to ensure continuous tracking.
