"I’m building an online “yellow pages” for our country town and need a WordPress developer who can deliver a directory-plus-membership solution I can maintain myself with core WordPress blocks (no Elementor or other heavy builders).

Core requirements
• Front-end “Add My Business / Community Group” workflow that lets users create and log in to manage their listing.
• Dashboard where they can:
– Edit business details
– Update membership status (Chamber member vs non-member)
– View billing history
– Toggle Public / Private fields
– Opt in to advertise and upload their ad creative or copy
• Separate visibility rules so member-only data stays private while public details appear in the directory.

Commerce & billing
• Stripe integration for one-off payments (business listing) and recurring membership dues.
• Automatic recording of membership status and renewal dates.
• Grace-period / expired logic that hides member-only perks if payment lapses.

Directory & ads
• Clean, searchable listing page with category filters and map/embed options.
• Ad slots that pull from the same listing data (or a dedicated CPT) so paid advertisers are highlighted site-wide.
• A Surf Cam page (simple placeholder for now) that pulls ads from the same ad system.

Tech notes
• Use custom post types, custom fields, and native blocks or block-based plugins so I can edit layouts later.
• Lightweight theme—block-ready, responsive, and fast.
• Clean, documented code and clear instructions on how to add/change fields, prices, and ad positions.

Deliverables
1. Fully configured WordPress site on my host or a staging server.
2. Stripe live/test keys set up with products, webhooks, and membership plans.
3. Front-end forms, member dashboard, directory archive, single-listing template, ad placement logic, and Surf Cam placeholder page.
4. One-hour hand-over call or detailed PDF explaining how to manage everything.
