"I’m using the WP Rentals theme and need a few targeted code tweaks that enhance the booking process only. The goal is to introduce extra fields to the booking form and have that information flow smoothly through the site and admin area.

Scope
• Add new custom fields to the booking form (e.g., text, dropdown, date).
• Store and validate the data using WP Rentals and WordPress best practices.
• Display the captured details in the booking summary, confirmation emails, and the WordPress back-end so they’re easy to review.
• Place all edits in either a child theme or a lightweight custom plugin so future theme or core updates won’t wipe them out.
