"Project Title:
Website Developer – Global Military Medal & Ribbon Display Builder
Description:
We’re looking for a talented full-stack developer to build a public website that generates accurate military ribbon racks and medal displays. The goal is to let anyone create a regulation-correct presentation of their service awards and download a finished page for $1.
The site must cover all U.S. Armed Forces and later expand to Commonwealth countries. Users will have two input options:
1. Paste from Wikipedia: The site analyzes copied text, identifies medals, and builds the correct display automatically.
2. Manual Entry: Users type medals one by one. A live lookup system suggests matches (for example, typing “Sil” shows “Silver Star”) and asks for quantities or devices.
The system must follow official order-of-precedence rules for each branch. For obscure medals, it should search the web and pull a matching image. Users preview and approve their layout before payment and download.
Key Features:
• Dynamic medal and ribbon rendering engine.
• Rules database for all U.S. military branches.
• Live lookup and autocomplete medal entry.
• Automatic Wikipedia text parsing.
• On-screen approval before PDF generation.
• Secure payment integration (Apple Pay, PayPal, credit cards).
• Scalable for future Commonwealth data.
What to Include in Your Proposal:
• Examples of complex or data-driven websites you’ve built.
• Your technical plan and time estimate.
• Cost for a full U.S. version and later Commonwealth expansion.
I need a responsive e-commerce website dedicated to custom medal display racks for service members. The site must let visitors build a rack online and be confident that every medal is positio" (client-provided description)
