"Our school store would like to Integrate Payments by Stripe App with Big commerce website so that we can process in person credit card payments during events:
- order inserted into big commerce and payment method selected as manual payment - ideally option named " POS credit card "order details in big commerce (order number, amount) are sent to the app and customer can tap credit card
- payment completion sent back to big commerce back end and status of the order is changed from awaiting payment to payment completed.



Fetch Order Details from BigCommerce:
Use the BigCommerce API to retrieve order details. You can use the Orders API endpoint to get information such as order amounts, customer details, and product information.
Authenticate your API requests using OAuth or API keys provided by BigCommerce.
Create a PaymentIntent in Stripe:
Use the Stripe API to create a PaymentIntent. This represents a payment you intend to process.
Pass the order amount and currency from BigCommerce to the PaymentIntent creation request.
Optionally, include metadata such as the BigCommerce order ID for easier reconciliation.
Process Payment with Stripe Terminal:
Use Stripe Terminal to process the payment in person. Connect your Stripe Reader and confirm the PaymentIntent using the Terminal SDK.
Ensure that the PaymentIntent is confirmed and the payment is successful before fulfilling the order.
Handle Webhooks:
Set up webhooks to listen for events such as [login to view URL] to update your order status in BigCommerce once the payment is successful." (client-provided description)
