Project description:
"I want a small C# utility that talks directly to the Interactive Brokers TWS / IB Gateway API and hunts for basic option arbitrage opportunities. Here is the workflow I need:
• Load a plain-text list of about 100 stock tickers that I will maintain.
• For each symbol, pull the full option chain—every expiry, every strike, both CALL and PUT contracts—along with the current underlying price.
• Apply my arbitrage formula (underlying – call + put; I’ll provide the exact threshold once we start).
• Whenever the calculation meets the condition, record the result: symbol, contract details, prices, and calculated spread.
• Show the matches live in a grid/log and append them to a simple .txt file for later review.
Key requirements
• Written in modern C# (.NET 6+ preferred).
• Uses official IB API, handling reconnects, pacing-violation pauses, and common error codes.
• Finishes a full sweep of ~100 tickers without exceeding IB rate limits.
• Clean, well-commented source code plus a compiled executable.
• A small config file or UI area where I can change the ticker list, threshold, and scan frequency.
Nice-to-haves
• Start/stop buttons, a progress bar, and basic logging to help me monitor the scan.
• Option to run the scan on a schedule (e.g., every N minutes) while TWS/Gateway stays open.
Deliverables
1. Full source code.
2. Ready-to-run executable.
3. README explaining setup, dependencies, and how to add or modify tickers and parameters.
If you have prior experience with the IB API and option data, this should be a straightforward project. I’m looking forward to working with someone who can deliver a reliable, extensible tool." (client-provided description)
