"My site shows up in Google Search Console, yet almost every page is flagged as “not optimised.” The biggest pain point is mobile responsiveness—specifically how text renders on phones and tablets. Fonts look cramped, line-lengths feel awkward, and overall readability takes a hit, which is keeping the pages from passing Google’s mobile usability checks and, ultimately, from being accepted into Google News.

Here is what I need:

• Perform a detailed audit focused on mobile text readability. You can use Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, Chrome DevTools, or any comparable framework—as long as the final report clearly pinpoints the CSS, viewport or typography issues that are hurting usability scores.
• Implement code-level fixes (responsive typography, scalable units, proper meta viewport tag, colour-contrast adjustments) across every affected template so the pages pass Google’s “Mobile-Friendly” and “Core Web Vitals” tests.
• Confirm the improvements inside my Search Console and provide before/after screenshots or metrics.
• Once the pages are clean, guide me through—or handle—the Google Publisher Center setup so the site is successfully added to Google News, including any required structured-data tweaks.

I run the site on a standard LAMP stack with WordPress, so familiarity with that environment will help you move quickly. Feel free to suggest AMP, custom breakpoints, or any additional best practices; I’m open to the most efficient path that keeps design intact while meeting Google’s requirements.
