UX/UI and Graphic Redesign of the APALECO Website
UI/UX Mock-up Creation for an Innovative Medical Device Website (DM 1.13)
1. APALECO: Context and Medical Mission
APALECO, in partnership with the AP-HP (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris), designs and distributes interactive activity tables certified as European Medical Devices (DM 1.13). Our mission is twofold:
• To soothe individuals suffering from cognitive disorders (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ASD, psychiatry, functional rehabilitation) and improve their quality of life.
• To support the well-being of caregivers by reducing the burden of emergency interventions (stress, impulsive behaviours).
Our Unique Selling Proposition (USP):
• 100% Autonomous Devices: Usable 24/7 without assistance, unlike existing solutions that require a caregiver's presence.
• Non-Pharmacological Approach (NPI): Based on research from the AP-HP (TIPATSMA project), with DM 1.13 certification guaranteeing safety and efficacy.
• Social Impact: Collaboration with non-profit institutions to maximize access to our solutions.
Primary Target Audience (The design must resonate with them):
• 80%: Healthcare Professionals (Doctors, Occupational Therapists, Nurses) → Need scientific credibility and clinical effectiveness.
• 10%: Decision-Makers (EHPAD/Hospital Directors, Ministry Stakeholders) → Need clarity on ROI and organisational impact.
• 10%: Family Caregivers → Need empathy and simplicity.
Current Websites:
• Historical site: [login to view URL]
• Provisional site: [login to view URL] (Contains the final content structure; only design redesign is required). This site will replace the historical one.
2. Mission Objectives (UI/UX Design Only)
We are looking for an exceptional UX/UI designer to create an intuitive user experience and a premium visual identity that reflects both:
• Medical Expertise (DM 1.13 certification, clinical evidence).
• Human-Centric Innovation (autonomy, well-being, AP-HP research).
A. Brand Image & Aesthetics
The design must convey: Trust, Expertise, Empathy, and Serenity.
Element Specification
Style Clean, professional, and warm (avoiding an overly clinical tone).
Colour Palette Calming palette (medical blues, soft greens) + dynamic accents for CTAs. Must respect accessibility standards (contrast, legibility).
Typography Body text: Modern and highly legible (e.g., Open Sans, Lato). Titles: Elegant yet sober (e.g., Playfair Display).
Visual Coherence Harmonious integration of existing assets (factory videos, product-in-use photos). Custom icons to illustrate benefits (e.g., autonomy, stress reduction).
B. User Experience (UX) Focus
• Intuitive Navigation: Maximum 3 clicks to access key information for professionals:
o Clinical evidence and DM 1.13 certification.
o Use cases by pathology (Alzheimer’s, ASD, etc.).
o Testimonials from caregivers/institutions.
• Menu Clarity: Example structure: Our Solutions → By Pathology → Clinical Studies.
• Highlighting Differentiators: Dedicated sections for 24/7 autonomy and the reduction of caregiver stress (e.g., an infographic showing "80% reduction in emergency interventions").
• Strategic CTAs: Visible and encouraging buttons: "Request a Demo," "Download the DM 1.13 Brochure," "Contact Us" (simplified form). CTAs should be strategically placed at the top, after key sections, and in the footer.
3. Deliverables and Selection Criteria
Expected Deliverables (Design Conception Phase)
We will perform the technical integration on our WordPress environment internally. We expect the following outputs from you:
1. UI Mock-ups (Desktop + Mobile) for:
o Homepage.
o 2 internal pages of your choice (e.g., "8 Essential Facts" and "Impact Studies").
o Format: Editable files in Figma or Adobe XD.
2. Web Graphic Charter: Colour palette, typography, icon styles, buttons, and reusable graphic elements (e.g., "DM 1.13 Certified" banner).
3. UX Recommendations: Wireframes or navigation flowcharts justifying your design choices (e.g., explaining the user journey).
