"Project Summary Brief: QR-Based Loyalty & Ordering System
Overview

We are developing a QR-based loyalty and ordering platform that enhances customer engagement and tracks purchasing behavior. The system will connect physical products, in-store purchases, and online interactions through a unified web/app experience.

Core Functionality
1. QR Code Product Interaction

Each product will have a unique QR code printed on its packaging.

When scanned, the QR code directs the customer to our website or web app.

The landing page will play an audio clip describing the specific product.

The audio clip should be dynamically linked to the product ID embedded in the QR code.

2. User Registration & Login

Customers must sign up or log in to proceed.

Sign-up options: Email/password or social media (Google, Apple, Facebook).

Once logged in, users access their digital wallet and loyalty dashboard.

3. Loyalty Points System

Customers earn points for every in-store purchase.

At checkout, the customer shows a unique barcode or QR code from their profile.

The cashier scans this to credit points to the customer’s account instantly.

The system automatically tracks purchase data:

Product ID, transaction value

Store location

Date/time of purchase

Customer demographics

Points accumulate in the customer’s wallet in real time.

4. Redemption & Rewards

Customers can redeem loyalty points for discounts or rewards.

Once a threshold is reached, redemption options become available:

In-store: The cashier scans the customer’s barcode to apply discounts.

Online/App: The customer can redeem points directly during checkout.

5. Online Ordering Integration

The customer should be able to place an order directly via the app/website.

The system should connect to the store’s EPOS system, sending order details automatically.

Points from these orders are also credited to the user’s wallet.

Back-End Requirements

Admin dashboard to manage:

Product data and associated audio clips

User accounts and loyalty balances

Transactions, store performance, and redemption logs

Analytics & reporting:

Purchase frequency, customer demographics, and product trends

Exportable reports (CSV or Excel)

EPOS integration:

Real-time order and loyalty synchronization with in-store systems.

Technical Requirements

Platform: Web-based (mobile-responsive) or hybrid mobile app (React Native preferred).

Database: Secure user data and transaction storage (e.g. Firebase, MongoDB, or SQL).

QR/Barcode Generation: Unique per product and user wallet.

Payment/Order Integration: Compatible with standard EPOS APIs (to be discussed).
