"The goal is to build a seamless, bi-directional interface between our ThermoFisher clinical laboratory instruments and our in-house LIMS, which is written in .NET. The interface must:

• Push patient data and test orders from the LIMS to the ThermoFisher analyzers
• Retrieve finalized lab results from the instruments and insert them back into the correct patient records in real time

Instrument maintenance logs will be handled later, so they are out of scope for this phase.

I will supply the ThermoFisher communication specification, a test data stream, and a staging instance of the LIMS. The finished solution should be delivered as a clean, well-documented C# component (source code and compiled DLL), accompanied by unit tests and concise setup instructions so my internal team can maintain it.

Acceptance criteria
• Patient data and orders reach the instrument and receive positive acknowledgment
• Results appear in the matching LIMS record within 60 seconds of instrument release
• All transactions are time-stamped and logged with instrument identifiers
• Project builds without warnings in Visual Studio 2022

Familiarity with ASTM, HL7, or other analyzer-side protocols—as well as prior ThermoFisher integration experience—will make the work go faster." (client-provided description)
