Project description:
"I’m building a small proof-of-concept haptic device that can follow a video’s timeline in real time. The goal is to drive a single DC motor from an Arduino-class board (ESP32 or similar) over WiFi so the motion perfectly matches a cue track embedded in, or streamed alongside, the video.
Scope of work
• Hardware setup: select components, wire the DC motor to an appropriate driver, and integrate everything on a compact breadboard or shield.
• Firmware: write Arduino-compatible code that receives timing data over WiFi and translates it into motor speed commands with minimal latency and jitter.
• Web interface: create a lightweight browser page hosted on the device where I can enter the video URL or timing file, start/stop playback, and adjust basic parameters.
• Demo: provide a short sample video (or timing file) and record the prototype running in sync so I can showcase it to potential partners.
• Handoff package: include the annotated source code, wiring diagram, parts list, and brief setup guide so I can reproduce or iterate on the build.
I already have the concept storyboarded; I need your help turning it into a working demo I can place on my desk, power by USB, and show live during calls. Experience with Arduino, ESP-series WiFi modules, real-time motor control, and simple web dashboards will make this move quickly." (client-provided description)
