"I’m turning an existing Shopify theme into a jewelry store and need one key upgrade: live, minute-level gold pricing baked directly into each product’s price.

Here’s what I’m after:
• Hook up a reliable real-time gold price API and pull the latest 24K rate every few minutes.
• Use that live rate inside the product price itself (no separate breakdown).
• Add a simple admin input—Metafield, settings schema, or small private app—so I can enter or change the making charges that get added on top of the live rate.

Scope is intentionally lean: no full theme redesign, just the core integration written in Liquid/JavaScript and wired to Shopify’s own APIs so page speed stays sharp.
