I need a PHP pro to:

• Trace and resolve the authentication bug in the login script.
• Ensure valid credentials start a session and load the dashboard.
• Add a clear error message when credentials are invalid.

This is a small, clean codebase (plain PHP, MySQL). Keep the fix lightweight and focused.
