I’m therefore looking to build a nimble arrangement with an expert who can step into early discovery calls, capture requirements on the fly, and then carry out the necessary work once the deal closes.

Here’s what usually comes up in those conversations:

• Clean-ups – everything from untangling master-data issues to tightening code and refining inefficient processes.
• Integrations – connecting Finance & Ops or Business Central to third-party apps, web services, or on-prem systems.
• Modifications – bespoke tweaks, extensions, or small feature additions that keep the standard product intact while matching client workflows.

Typical clean-up actions include data cleanup, code optimization, and overall process improvement. Tools and skills like X++/AL, Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure Functions, and standard Microsoft integration patterns will be essential.

2. I craft the proposal; if accepted, you roll straight into discovery and delivery.
