"I’m looking to put a dependable, real-time inventory management system in place. The priority is instant stock visibility—from the moment items arrive through every movement across our warehouse and sales channels—so my team always knows exact on-hand quantities.

Here is what I need delivered:
• A working, web-based (or easily self-hosted) inventory module that captures receipts, transfers, adjustments, and sales deductions the moment they occur.
• Barcode or QR code compatibility so staff can scan items in and out without manual entry.
• A simple dashboard that flags low-stock SKUs and lets me export counts or share them via API/webhook with our purchasing workflow.
• User, location, and product master data import templates (CSV or XLSX) plus clear instructions so we can populate the system ourselves.
• Basic role permissions—at minimum “admin” and “warehouse user.”
• Documentation that walks me through daily operations, backups, and version updates.

Automated reordering and analytics would be great future additions, so design choices that leave room for those features are welcome, but the first milestone is rock-solid real-time tracking.
