"I’m looking for a Laravel-savvy Stripe specialist to bring our existing payment gateway up to shape. The immediate priority is squashing the bugs that are causing payment failures e.g. (sometimes paid orders are being cancelled and unpaid orders being processed). Once stability is restored, I also want the codebase aligned with the latest Stripe compliance requirements and, time permitting, a handful of small feature enhancements rolled in.

What I need from you
• Diagnose and eliminate the payment-failure issue, confirming successful charges across test and live modes.
• Fix the front-end inconsistencies so users see accurate totals, clear error messages, and a smooth redirect/confirmation flow.
• Update the integration to the current Stripe API version, ensuring we meet all new compliance rules.
• Add moderate-scope improvements we identify together (for example, better webhook logging or a cleaner refund workflow).

Code context
The project runs on Laravel 10 with a standard Stripe PHP SDK implementation, talking to a wordpress plugin on a different TLD where the payments are made.
