"I already have the code snippet for a simple image-only banner/slider and need it cleanly embedded into the homepage of my Shopify theme.

Here’s what I’m looking for:
• Insert the custom Liquid / HTML / JavaScript so the slider renders above the fold on the homepage without breaking existing sections.
• Make sure the banner cycles smoothly, is fully responsive across desktop and mobile, and inherits my current theme’s styling.
• No links are required—images just need to display and transition. Background functionality in code to enable image uploads
• Keep the theme maintainable: avoid hard-coding assets, comment your edits, and tell me exactly which files you touched so I can swap images later.

Please test on both Dawn and my live theme version before handing over. A short note explaining how to update or disable the slider rounds out the deliverable." (client-provided description)
