About the role
We are launching a premium line of herbal products (Mullein Tea, Extract, Gummies). We’re looking for a modern full-stack Shopify expert to own our storefront build: elegant UI, fast performance, clean code, and deep integrations (Klaviyo, subscriptions, reviews, analytics). This is not a “theme install” job—you’ll design and ship a conversion-focused, future-proof build.
What you’ll do
Architect & build the storefront
Customize a premium OS 2.0 theme (sections everywhere) or assemble a lightweight custom theme.
Implement accessible, mobile-first components (hero, comparison tables, sticky ATC, quick-view, bundles).
Structure collections for Tea / Extracts / Gummies + bundles; future-ready for more SKUs.
Checkout & conversion
Configure Checkout Extensibility (brand styles, upsells, trust badges, Shop Pay/Apple Pay/Google Pay).
Implement subscription UX (Recharge/Shopify Subscriptions), bundles, back-in-stock, and review widgets.
Add A/B test hooks and CRO best practices (free-shipping progress, mini-cart drawer, sticky ATC).
Data & integrations
Klaviyo: flows (welcome, browse/cart abandon, post-purchase, replenishment), back-in-stock, onsite forms.
Analytics: GA4 + Meta/TikTok pixels with a clean data layer (view_item, add_to_cart, checkout steps, leads).
SEO & structured data (Product, FAQ, Article, Breadcrumb) with JSON-LD.
Content system
Metafields & dynamic sections for benefits, usage/brewing, certifications, disclaimers, compare attributes.
CMS-like “Learn” hub for articles, internal linking strategies to PDPs.
Performance, stability & a11y
Core Web Vitals: image pipelines (WebP/AVIF, srcset), code-split, lazy-load, font strategies.
Accessibility: WCAG 2.1 AA (focus management, contrast, semantics).
Error/empty state UX and resilient fallbacks.
Must-have qualifications
4+ years building production Shopify stores beyond theme tweaking.
Expert with Liquid, Shopify Online Store 2.0, Theme App Extensions, metafields, dynamic sections.
Strong front-end skills (HTML/CSS, JS/TS, responsive design); comfort with React patterns.
Real-world Klaviyo implementation (flows, events, onsite forms, back-in-stock).
Proven analytics/pixel setup (GA4, Meta, TikTok) and clean event mapping.
Performance tuning (LCP/CLS/INP), accessibility, and SEO fundamentals.
Comfortable integrating subscriptions, reviews, bundles, and back-in-stock apps.
Excellent communication and documentation.
Nice-to-haves
Shopify Storefront/GraphQL API, Hydrogen/Remix experience (for future headless needs).
Experience with regulated/health-adjacent brands (clear structure/function disclaimers; no disease claims).
Animation/micro-interaction finesse (respecting reduced motion).
CDN/image optimization pipelines; Lighthouse/Speedcurve familiarity.
