"We’re looking for a developer experienced with the WhatsApp Cloud API and Meta Developer Support to help resolve a long-standing media upload issue.

Our system is fully connected to the WhatsApp Business API, and text templates are working fine. However, we’re blocked from uploading images and submitting templates with image headers.

When attempting binary uploads or including image handles in template submissions, we receive errors like:

Unsupported post request with error_subcode = 33

Uploaded media handle is invalid with error_subcode = 2494102

This issue persists even though our tokens and permissions appear valid, and API calls to other endpoints work fine.

What we need from you:

Review our API setup (we’ll share sanitized logs and test tokens).

Diagnose the root cause of the upload and media-handle validation issue.

Identify if the problem is with permissions, WABA configuration, or endpoint usage.

Help us test one working image upload and successfully submit a template with an image header.

Optionally, if needed, communicate with Meta Developer Support on our behalf to resolve configuration-level issues.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API (especially /media and template endpoints).

Experience troubleshooting Meta API errors like 33, 131009, and 2494102.

Familiarity with System User tokens, App permissions, and Business Manager asset linking.

Must have previously resolved media upload or template approval issues on the Cloud API.
