"I need a lean, browser-friendly currency converter that focuses on one job: turning any USD amount into its equivalent in popular African currencies such as NGN, ZAR, KES, GHS, and EGP. The heart of the build is a simple calculator—no charts, no dashboards—just fast, accurate conversion.

You’re free to choose the stack you know best (React, Vue, vanilla JS, Flutter Web, or a concise PHP setup); the only must-have is that the finished app loads quickly on both desktop and mobile.

Key deliverables
• A clean interface with an amount field, a currency dropdown limited to USD → African currencies, and a Convert button.
• Conversion logic that pulls fresh rates from a dependable public REST API once a day (real-time streaming can wait for a later phase).
• Support for at least ten African currencies—I'll supply the list in JSON.
• Well-commented code plus a short README that shows me how to tweak the currency list or swap out the rate source.

Acceptance test: I run the app locally, type $100, pick a target currency, hit Convert, and the result appears using the latest stored rate.
