"I need a complete Android application built from the ground up, delivered as a ready-to-compile Android Studio project. The app must be written natively in Kotlin (Java is acceptable if you have a strong preference) and follow current Material Design guidelines so it looks and behaves like a modern Android product on both phones and tablets.

Core scope
• Secure user sign-up / sign-in with JWT or Firebase Authentication
• RESTful API integration for all dynamic data (documentation provided once we start)
• Push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Basic offline caching so key screens still render without a connection
• Clean, reusable code with descriptive comments and a README explaining how to build, run, and connect the app to the staging API

Acceptance criteria
1. The APK installs and opens without crashes on Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above.
2. All listed features function exactly as described and match the API schema.
3. UI passes a brief design review: consistent typography, spacing, and colour palette.
4. I can import the project into Android Studio, hit “Run”, and build the same signed APK you provide.
