"I need a clean, fast-loading portfolio site where I can present my writing samples professionally. The build can be lightweight—one main page plus an “About Me” section is enough for now, as long as the layout looks polished on both desktop and mobile.

Core requirements
• Home page that features a grid or list of my writing samples with room for short excerpts and a link to the full text (PDF or external link).
• Separate “About Me” section with photo, short bio, and social links.
• Simple CMS or markdown-friendly back-end so I can add or replace samples myself.
• Modern, readable typography and subtle styling; no heavy animations.
• Basic SEO setup and contact details in the footer.

I’m open to WordPress, static site generators like Hugo or Jekyll, or a lightweight custom build—whichever lets me update content easily and keeps hosting costs down.
