"I need a lightweight PHP script for my Linux server that will:

• Detect the visitor’s public IP address in real time.
• Query a reliable Geo-IP service (free or low-cost) and retrieve the city, region, country, and, if available, latitude/longitude.
• Return the IP and location in clean, plain-text format—one line per field, ready for piping or logging.

The code must run under standard PHP 7+ with no external framework requirements. Curl, file_get_contents, or a similar built-in method is fine for the API call. Please add concise comments so I can adjust the output later, and include a short README showing where to drop any API token if the chosen service needs one.

I’ll test by calling the script from a browser and via CLI; both should yield identical plain-text results. Clean, clear code and straightforward setup are what I’m after." (client-provided description)
