Project Description:
We are looking to hire an experienced game developer to build the core gameplay for a 2-player web-based Ludo game.
The primary requirement is that the game's UI, animations, and overall "feel" must be a precise replica of the popular game Ludo King.
We are only looking for the client-side game development. We already have the complete UI/UX design files and a ready admin panel/backend. Your role is to take our assets and build the playable game logic using the Cocos game engine.
Key Requirements & "Must-Haves":
Expertise in Cocos: You must have proven, professional experience developing games using the Cocos game engine (preferably Cocos Creator for web development).
Portfolio of Web Games: A strong portfolio of completed web-based games is essential.
Board Game Experience: Previous experience developing multiplayer turn-based board games (Ludo, Chess, Checkers, etc.) is a major advantage.
Attention to Detail: You must be able to perfectly replicate the Ludo King UI, token movements, dice roll animations, and game flow from the designs we provide.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
Scope of Work (Your Deliverables):
Develop the complete 2-player game logic for Ludo (dice rolling, token movement, safe zones, capturing tokens, reaching home).
Integrate our provided UI design files and game assets (game board, tokens, dice, buttons, etc.) into the Cocos engine.
Implement all game animations to precisely match the Ludo King style (e.g., dice roll, token "hop" movement, capture animation, winning celebration).
Implement the client-side logic to connect with our existing backend API for game state, player turns, and opponent matching. (We will provide the API documentation).
Ensure the final game is responsive, bug-free, and runs smoothly on all major web browsers (desktop and mobile).
What We Will Provide:
All UI design files (e.g., Figma, PSD, or PNG/Sprite sheets).
All necessary game assets (images, sound effects if any).
Access and documentation for our backend API to handle multiplayer logic and admin functions.
