"I need to finish wiring up secure video/images uploads from my [login to view URL] app to Firebase Storage. Firebase is already initialized in the project, but the current implementation is limited to basic reads; authenticated uploads with solid security rules are still missing.

Scope
• Configure the client-side and, if necessary, serverless functions so authenticated users can upload large video files without timeouts.
• Write Storage rules that restrict writes to signed-in users only and prevent overwrites across user buckets/folders.
• Make sure the tokens used by [login to view URL] pages and API routes refresh correctly so sessions don’t break mid-upload.
• Provide concise code snippets I can drop straight into my existing pages/components, plus a short README explaining any environment variables or Firebase console changes.

Acceptance criteria
– A logged-in user can select a video and see progress until the file appears in the correct Storage path.
– Unauthenticated requests, or attempts to write outside the permitted path, are blocked.
– All code compiles cleanly in dev and production builds of [login to view URL] (14+).
