"I run a small electronics shop and need a lightweight Windows desktop application that covers the essentials:

• Sales tracking – record each transaction quickly; once an item is sold it should automatically be deducted from stock without extra steps. should also be able to track VAT of 16.5%
• Inventory tracking – view current quantities, add new products, and see low-stock alerts at a glance.

A straightforward, self-contained solution is fine for this first version—an executable that stores data locally (SQLite or similar) with a clean, intuitive interface. If you can include simple import/export to CSV for backup or reporting, that’s a bonus but not mandatory right now.

Please let me know the toolset or language you prefer (C#, Java, Python, etc.) and roughly how long you’ll need. I’m aiming for something I can install on one Windows PC and start using right away." (client-provided description)
