"I would like to launch a small ride-hailing pilot project similar to Grab, but on a small island in the Philippines where there are currently no taxis or organized transport services.
Many local people here own motorcycles, cars, or vans and are looking for ways to earn extra income. My goal is to create an app that allows these drivers to register as private transport providers and accept rides from passengers nearby — a completely new concept for this island.
The system should include:
Customer app (Android and iOS)
Driver app (Android and iOS)
Admin dashboard
Cash payment option
Online wallet payments (GCash and Maya)
Basic fare calculation (base fare + price per km)
Real-time GPS tracking and booking notifications
This will be a pilot project to test if people adopt this idea locally. Once it proves successful, I plan to upgrade to a full professional system and expand it to other towns on the island.
