"I need to wire my existing C# WinForms application to a Datalogic Magellan 8200 so that it streams both the live weight from the scale and any barcodes the scanner reads, in real time, into the UI and my back-end logic.

The job covers: establishing the serial / USB communication, parsing the device’s data format, and exposing clean, event-based hooks that my forms can subscribe to. An easy-to-reuse class library, a minimal demo form that shows the weight and barcode as they arrive, and brief setup notes are all I’m after.

If you have already handled Magellan, OPOS, or similar POS peripherals from WinForms, please tell me. Solid device-level experience will move you to the front of the line.
