"The application is a production Ruby on Rails platform backed by PostgreSQL. A handful of issues slipped through our last release and I need them ironed out before the next sprint is cut.

First, several user-facing views are mis-rendering after a recent gem update; buttons have shifted, and a couple of modals no longer trigger. At the same time, a set of database errors (primarily index-related and a failing migration) are appearing in the logs, and overall response time on two heavier endpoints has crept above three seconds. I would like these three problem areas—interface glitches, database exceptions, and performance regressions—diagnosed and resolved with clean, well-commented commits.

Second, the Capistrano pipeline that pushes to our Ubuntu servers needs attention. A failed asset precompile occasionally halts the deploy, and the restart task no longer picks up new Sidekiq workers. I want the deploy script tightened so we have a one-command, repeatable release with clear rollback steps.

Finally, parts of the frontend are already written in React. I’d like the existing React components refactored so they load without flash, respect our SCSS variables, and plug seamlessly into the Rails views. Any tweaks should follow our current Webpacker setup and maintain full responsiveness across breakpoints.
