Project description:
"Current state of the website (for the freelancer):
1. General impression / Purpose of the website: The website appears to be a mix of service site, training platform, and online shop. It is unclear what the main objective is. Users cannot immediately tell whether they should request an audit, book a training course, or make a purchase. The initial impression is technical and informative, but not sales-oriented.
2. Site structure and navigation: The menu is cluttered and sometimes leads to similar content. The three target groups – operators, technicians, and general interested parties – are not addressed separately. There is no clear user guidance. The structure seems more random than planned. The most important pages are difficult to identify, and there is no consistent structure to guide the user.
3. Content: The texts are long, factual, and descriptive, but not focused on benefits. They explain services instead of highlighting advantages or results. A clear structure with sections, headings, and calls to action is lacking. The language is very technical and hardly customer-oriented. Images and paragraphs are poorly structured, which impairs readability.
4. Services & Website Structure The "Our Services" section lists numerous technical services according to DIN standards. While understandable for experts, it's difficult for laypeople. A clear structure and prioritization are lacking. The site mixes services, technical support, and training without differentiating between them. Users don't know where to begin. The order of the sections (Service – Training – About Us – Certificates) appears arbitrary.
5. SEO – Key Points
● No clear keyword targeting per page
● Multiple H1 headings and unclear titles
● Meta descriptions are missing or too general
● Too many technical terms, few user-oriented search terms
● Hardly any internal linking between related topics
● Images without descriptive alt text
● No structured data markup (FAQ, Organization, etc.)
● No regional focus
6. Training and Shop Area The training area exists, but it is not visually or content-wise integrated into the main page. It is unclear who the training courses are intended for or what their benefits are. The shop appears as a separate page with a different focus. Both areas are functional, but not strategically linked to the website's main goal.
7. Overall Assessment The website conveys expertise, but lacks a clear direction. It is technically well-intentioned, but unstructured, too text-heavy, and not conversion-oriented. The main problems are:
● No clear target audience guidance
● Too much information without priority
● Weak user navigation
● Untapped SEO potential
● No consistent tone or design across sections (service, training, shop).
The goal should be to divide the site into clear sections and focus on inquiries, training bookings, and building trust.
Revision objective:
● Target audiences: The website should clearly separate two target groups:
1. Customers who want to have their separator system inspected, serviced, or repaired.
2. Separator technicians who want to attend training courses or shop in the online store. Users should be able to see at a glance where they belong and which content is relevant to them.
● Structure: The site structure must reflect these two target groups. There should be clearly separated entry points: one section for service and inspections and a separate section for technicians (training and shop). The menu and homepage should clearly reflect this division.
● Training & Shop: Both sections must be tailored to separator technicians in terms of content and design. Texts, calls to action, and layout should clearly communicate that these offerings are exclusively for professionals. The transition between the training page and the shop should be logical, consistent, and professional." (client-provided description)
