Here are the requirements, they are detailed but afaik should not be hard:

1. Technical Accessibility Checks
• Images: Every image has a meaningful alt text describing its content or purpose.
• Headings: There is only one h1 per page, and headings follow a logical order (h2, h3, etc.).
• Keyboard Navigation: You can navigate the entire site using only the keyboard (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Esc). The focus outline (highlight) is visible.
• Contrast: Text color vs. background color meets the minimum contrast ratio (4.5:1). Use WebAIM Contrast Checker.
• CSS Separation: Visual design (CSS) is separate from the content (HTML), so screen readers can interpret text correctly.

2. Accessibility Plugin (Widget)
• Make sure the accessibility icon is visible on every page.
• When clicked, the menu opens and allows users to:
• Increase/decrease text size
• Change color contrast or background
• Highlight links
• Stop animations/flashes
• Navigate with keyboard
• Check that each feature actually works and refreshes the page if required.

3. Assistive Technologies
• Test your site using screen readers:
• NVDA (Windows) or VoiceOver (Mac).
• Make sure it reads:
• Page titles correctly
• Headings in order
• Buttons and links with clear labels (no “click here” without context).

4. Automated Accessibility Testing Tools

Run your website through one or more of these free tools:
• WAVE Accessibility Checker
• AChecker
• Google Lighthouse → DevTools → Audits → select Accessibility

These will identify missing alt texts, low contrast issues, missing labels, broken ARIA attributes, etc.

5. Human Verification

If you want full compliance with Israeli Accessibility Regulation 35 (2013) or WCAG 2.1 AA, you can hire a certified accessibility auditor (RIA).
They’ll provide an official report and legal confirmation of compliance.
