"I need a straightforward Android application that lets shoppers browse a small product catalog, add items to a cart, and proceed through a mock-checkout flow. At this stage I’m only after a basic, working prototype—enough to demonstrate the concept and gather early feedback—so the scope is intentionally lean.

Core requirements
• Native Android build (Java or Kotlin) compatible with recent OS versions
• Product list and detail screens pulling data from a simple local JSON or lightweight cloud backend (Firebase Realtime Database or Firestore are fine)
• Cart management with quantity updates and subtotal calculation
• Checkout screen that captures shipping details and shows an order confirmation (no live payment gateway yet)
• Clean, Material-influenced UI; stock components are acceptable

Nice to have (if time allows but not mandatory)
• Basic admin JSON file or Firebase rules so I can add/edit products without rebuilding the app
• Simple search or category filter

Deliverables
1. APK and signed release build
2. Complete Android Studio project with readable, commented code
3. Short README explaining setup, libraries used, and how to add new products
