"I’m looking to have a lightweight, single-page dashboard that automatically pulls four infographic images from chosen news websites and presents them in a clean 2 × 2 grid. The page should:

• Fetch the images directly from the source URLs I supply (all from news sites) whenever the page loads, so the content is always current.
• Handle common hurdles such as CORS or missing images with graceful fallbacks.
• Be fully responsive—on desktop it shows the classic 2 × 2 grid, while on mobile it can stack two by two or collapse to a single column if that’s easier.
• Keep the code minimal: plain HTML/CSS/JavaScript is fine, or you can use a lightweight framework if that speeds things up, but no heavy dependencies.

Acceptance for hand-over: the page loads in any modern browser, displays the four live infographics without errors, and I can update the source URLs in one obvious place (a config array, JSON file, or environment variable) without touching the rest of the code. A quick read-me explaining where to edit the links and how to deploy locally is all I’ll need beyond the working page itself.
