"I’m looking to add a real-time text chat feature to my existing platform. The goal is a clean, responsive module that lets two or more users exchange messages instantly, with typing indicators and message history retained in a database.

Scope
• Design a detailed plan outlining preferred tech stack, data flow, and security approach.
• Build a functional prototype with live text messaging, read/​unread state, and basic moderation (delete or hide messages).
• Package the finished code for easy integration into my codebase and provide concise setup documentation.

Tech guidance
I’m flexible on frameworks, though I currently run a typical MERN-style environment on the back end. Feel free to recommend alternatives if you can justify performance, scalability, and maintenance benefits.

Key expectations
• Modern UI/UX that feels native to both desktop and mobile browsers.
• Clean, well-commented code and clear separation of front-end and back-end logic.
