Project description:
"I’m looking to translate the familiar note-highway feel of Harmonix’s Rock Band into a mobile learning tool that helps singers master four-part barbershop harmony. The end goal is a concise concept package I can hand to developers.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Core game loop and mechanic descriptions that mirror Rock Band’s scrolling visual cues, point-based scoring system, and intuitive touch controls—but adapted for simultaneous four-part vocal lines.
• Wireframes or rough UI mock-ups for portrait and landscape layouts on both iOS and Android, showing how each singer’s part will be displayed, queued, and judged in real time.
• A simple ruleset for pitch detection and harmony scoring, outlining how the app decides when voices are “locked” and when they drift.
• Suggestions for onboarding screens that teach users what tenor, lead, baritone, and bass lines sound like before they jump into a song.
• A brief technical note on recommended audio-analysis libraries or engines suitable for mobile.
Keep the focus on a lightweight, proof-of-concept build—no full production assets yet. Clarity, practicality, and creativity in adapting Rock Band’s interface to quartet singing are what matter most." (client-provided description)
