"I need a small, focused web application that validates product serial numbers when someone scans a QR code on the item’s packaging. Each QR should point to a unique URL on the site, where the code is checked against a database and the visitor instantly sees whether the product is genuine.

Core workflow
• User scans the QR, lands on our web app, and is shown a confirmation or warning message.
• The underlying database stores every serial number, its status (active, redeemed, blocked, etc.), and—if possible—the location and timestamp of each scan.
• Admins have a dashboard to upload or bulk-import new codes, view analytics, and deactivate compromised ones.
• Registered Users (e.g., distributors or inspectors) can log in to look up codes and see limited reporting, but only Admins can add or edit data.

Technical pointers
I’m open to common stacks such as Node.js + Express + MongoDB, Laravel + MySQL, or Django + PostgreSQL, as long as security best practices, prepared statements/ORM, and a clean API layer are followed. A simple responsive front-end (React, Vue, or plain Bootstrap) is fine; the priority is reliability and speed.

Deliverables
1. Fully deployed web application (test and production environments).
2. Relational or NoSQL DB schema with seed data for 100 sample serials.
3. Admin dashboard with CSV import/export, search, and status toggle.
4. Registered-user portal with read-only lookup and basic scan history.
5. QR redirect logic that records scan time, IP, and approximate geolocation.
6. Source code in a private Git repo plus a brief setup/maintenance guide.

Acceptance criteria
• A random valid code returns a “verified” message in under 2 seconds.
• Invalid or duplicate scans trigger the correct warning.
• Admin CSV upload handles at least 10 k lines without timeout.
• Scan records appear in the dashboard in real time.
