Project description:
"My Shopify storefront should display a “Sold Out / Notify Me” button whenever stock reaches zero so Klaviyo can collect back-in-stock requests but the button never appears. I need this restored and properly wired to Klaviyo’s Back-in-Stock flow. THERE HAS BEEN SOME OLD CODE COMMENTED BECAUSE NOT WORKIN.
What’s happening
• Platform: Shopify
• Issue: the button is simply not showing when product stock is zero.
• Expected: Visible button that triggers the Klaviyo form or event every time a variant is out of inventory.
Scope of work
1. Audit the theme code, scripts, and any app conflicts to pinpoint why the sold-out element is hidden or not rendered.
2. Reinstate or rebuild the button so it displays consistently on all product variants when inventory hits zero.
3. Connect the button to my existing Klaviyo account, ensuring it passes the required product and customer data for the Back-in-Stock flow.
4. Test in a staging environment (or duplicate theme) and then on live, confirming the event appears inside Klaviyo and that at least one test email is fired.
5. Document the changes so future theme updates won’t overwrite the fix.
Acceptance criteria
• Button reliably shows on every zero-stock product and variant no matter the Product page template.
• The button need to look exactly like the normal add to cart button but with whit font.
• “Notify Me” click sends the correct event/metric to Klaviyo.
• No impact on page speed or existing theme styling.
• Clear notes left in code or a short README outlining edits.
If you know Shopify Liquid, theme customisation, and Klaviyo event hooks, this should be a quick, tidy job." (client-provided description)
