"Foremade Development Brief

Hi
I’d like your team to continue with the development as discussed. As mentioned in my audio message, please ensure the UI and overall shopping experience reflect how people shop in Nigeria — simple, transparent, and easy to use.

Please refer to the attached screenshots for design guidance and layout references.

1. Buyer Experience

Buyers should have full control over how they purchase, with flexible delivery and payment options. They should also clearly see if delivery is available both Internationally and Locally (Nationwide).

Delivery Options Example:
1. Pickup Station – ₦700 (or free if configured)
Ready for pickup between 10–12 Nov if ordered within the next few hours.

2. Door Delivery – ₦1,700
Ready for delivery between 10–12 Nov if ordered within the next few hours.

3. Reserve Item for Future Collection (up to 30 days) – ₦2,000

4. International Delivery – e.g. Italy ₦70,000
Delivery between 20–25 Nov if ordered within the next few hours.

Each product page should clearly display:
- ✅ Nationwide Delivery Available
- ✅ International Delivery Available
- Or “Nationwide Only”

More explanation with example :-
Seller will add “Drop off time” they can choose between 1 - 7 days. We are they ones that delivers the products and our delivery within the State is:

1 day for Express delivery if order is places before 5pm.
3 days for Standard delivery.
Nationwide delivery: 7-14 days
International delivery 3- 14 days.
Collection In Person Option
Reserve for later collection option up to 21 days. (Item reserved but not collected are non-refundable)
All these optional will have charges according location.
Buyer in Lagos buys a phone from a seller whose location is in Lagos,
Buyer have option to pick up in person. Or buyer decided to get delivery;
Buyer picks a location from the list of locations we have listed where the buyer can pick up the item in person or buyer pick up from the list of locations we have listed where the buyer lives; Price for pick up is 500 or it’s 500 but free this weekend. Price for delivery is 750 or it’s free this weekend. Price for ForemadeGo Express delivery is 2000 or free this day. Price for the International delivery for this item is 70000 or free this week.

We will provide you with the list of States in Nigeria and the locations we have in each state.

For international deliveries;
It will be according country and we should have a place in the admin side where we could add the location later.
For all delivery input like; location and prices, we should be able to add and able to delete in the admin side. All prices we enter should be visible to buyers even when it’s free. It should have a stroke over the original fee for customers to know how much they would have paid if it wasn’t free. Just like when there is a discount on sales.
The refund process takes about 7-10 working days. Sometimes, a partial refund is what’s due for the customers. For disputes, buyers will try to resolve this with sellers and we can only be involved after 7 days if seller did not respond. A ticket will be raised by the buyer or seller regarding issues. Coppies of Communications between buyers and sellers during disputes will be available for admin to see in real time. For pro sellers, they return policy is up to 21 days. Pro sellers can add up 300 items a month for free. Additional item is 300Naira per Item.
Standard sellers can add up to 150 items per month for free. Additional item is 500Naira per item.
Every month it will reset.

Sellers will pay instantly by credit card or bank transfer.

Also there is product sponsorship called bump up, I intend to change that description to ‘Spotlight’. At the moment if you want to bump up any item, you can do this in your dashboard as a seller, the duration is 3 days, 7 days or 10 days
We should have a space in the admin where we can fix the prices for each day.
2. Cart & Checkout Flow
All users (signed in or not) should be able to browse, add items to cart, and proceed through checkout.
Sign-up or sign-in is only required at the final stage of checkout.
Checkout Flow:
1. “To get your order details to you, let’s have an email address to send it to.”
- User enters their email address.
2. “Where is this item being shipped to?”
- User enters shipping address.
3. “What’s your full name?”
- User enters their full name.

4. “Which year were you born, and what month?”
- User enters their date of birth.

5. “To verify your email or phone number, a code has been sent to you. Please enter it here.”
- Code verification completes sign-up/login.

6. Payment details screen appears, allowing billing address entry with a checkbox for “Same as shipping address.”

3. Delivery Coverage & Branding
- Nigeria has 37 states, each with drop-off and collection centres.
- Sellers should be able to pick their nearest drop-off centre when listing products.
- Every product page should show: “ForemadeGo — Delivery made easy.”
4. Seller Features
When listing items, sellers should be able to:
- Choose their nearest drop-off centre.
- Mark products as On Offer / Promotion.
- Enter stock quantity and variations (size, colour, etc.).
- Indicate delivery reach: Nationwide or International.
- Mark items that cannot be returned (e.g. beverages, food, medications, groceries).
5. Contact & Orders
- Phone numbers displayed for customer orders will be provided by Foremade, not sellers.
- Admins should be able to manually create orders for customers without accounts.
- Order numbers should be alphanumeric and max 12 characters.
- Users can register with either email or phone number.
- OTPs should be sent via Email or WhatsApp (+1 555 776 5384).
6. Social Sharing & Buyer Interaction
- Each product page should include share options for WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Email, and Copy to Clipboard.
when we get to the communication triangle for buyers, sellers and delivery we will discuss that separately as that will be via email.
Every chat initiated sends email alert to the recipient to log in and respond
7. UI & Landing Page
- Animated “V-shaped” downward arrows at top-left and top-right for ads.
- Centre bar (Foremade logo area) for rotating banner ads.
- Product images with zoom-in and swipeable thumbnails.
- Slight font size reduction for better readability.

8. Returns & Refund Policy
- 14-day return policy.
- Returned items must be unused and intact.
- Non-returnable items (food, drinks, medications, groceries) must display “This item is non-returnable.”
9. Admin Panel Features
Admin dashboard should allow:
- Adding/removing collection centres.
- Adding countries for international delivery.
- Managing shipping companies (ForemadeGo, DHL, UPS, etc.).
- Creating/editing delivery methods, fees, and discount zones.
- Configuring free or discounted delivery areas.
10. Implementation Approach
Please continue building using your preferred methods. Maintain Foremade’s brand structure, simplicity, and clarity, ensuring it reflects how people shop in Africa.
11. Make offer
Buyer can make offer on product so seller can check price and accept of offer then buyer can purchase them
12. Tax part
pro member form the business registration number and tax registration number field is not working properly. It accepts any number as legitimate
13. Location
Location system is not working very well on the website. When someone is a seller, we want them to enter their specific location of their store that will help us know the distance between where the buyer is and where the seller is and determine how much each item should cost for delivery. So from the listing, we can determine the location of the item. The listing area, you can remove the weight measure and replace it with location of the store.

UPLOADING PRODUCTS;
Options are to add up to 8 images and 1 video. Drag and dropping images should still be allowed.
Eliminate the single or multiple item upload option. There should be just upload with option to use variant. This aspect of the process need to restructured to your liking.
For BULK upload section please make it work well with importing product data via CSV, Excel, or JSON files. A single, detailed spreadsheet with all product information (titles, descriptions, SKUs, prices, categories, image links, etc.) and upload it in one go. At the moment it doesn’t work very well and th downloadable template should be tested.
