"We have a legacy system built in Clarion 10 using TopSpeed (.TPS) data files.

When adding a new record, we get this error:

Auto Increment Error – Creates Duplicate Key (40)

This happens even after restarting the server.
We believe it is a damaged TPS file OR an incorrect “next number” counter in the file.

Your job:

Inspect the TPS file(s)

Repair or rebuild the keys/indexes

Fix the auto-increment counter

Return a working TPS file with no duplicate key issues

You MUST have:

Experience repairing TopSpeed / Clarion TPS files

Familiarity with TPSFIX, TopScan, or custom Clarion repair utilities

Ability to rebuild indexes or recreate a clean TPS structure and import data if required

Deliverables:

Repaired TPS file

Explanation of what was wrong (optional)

Instructions if any changes are needed on our end

Notes:
