"I’ve connected a Thies Clima DLx-MET weather station to a Beckhoff CX controller via an EL6021 RS485 terminal. I’m using TwinCAT 3 and sending framed ASCII commands like \x02MM\x03, but the station does not respond.

Wiring and physical connectivity are confirmed OK. The command syntax matches the protocol specification. I strongly suspect the issue lies in TwinCAT's software configuration, not hardware.

What I need is a TwinCAT expert who can:

• Inspect and correct the serial interface setup in the System Manager (EL6021 configuration)
• Review and adjust (or rewrite) the PLC code handling TX/RX, framing, and parsing
• Demonstrate successful communication by showing one valid weather data response in the watch window or via logging

I’ll provide:
• The current .tsm file and PLC project
• The weather station’s communication protocol PDF
• Optional remote access if needed

Once we see a successful, repeatable reply from the station, I’ll close the job and release payment.
