"I built a small desktop tool in Python that automates several routine jobs for me on Windows. It has served me well, but the codebase is now dated and some of the third-party libraries I relied on have moved forward. I’m looking for someone who can take the current project, refactor or rewrite where it makes sense, and deliver a modern, stable release that runs smoothly on current Windows machines.

Key points you’ll be tackling include bringing the code up to a recent Python version, updating or replacing deprecated libraries, tightening performance, and packing the finished application in a way that is easy for me to install and distribute (a polished .exe via PyInstaller or a comparable solution is fine—whatever you are most comfortable with). A quick but clear change log will help me track what shifted between versions, and inline comments or concise documentation will ensure I can maintain things going forward.
