"Building a secure, web-based electronic medical records platform is my current priority. The site will be used day-to-day by doctors and other clinical staff, so the workflow must feel as natural as writing in a paper chart, only faster.

Core features
• Patient record management: create, update, and archive complete clinical histories, including attachments, images, and notes.
• Appointment scheduling integrated directly into each patient’s chart with calendar views for individual clinicians and departments.
• Prescription management with e-prescribe, refill tracking, and interaction checks.
• Ordering and tracking of laboratory and other special tests, with results flowing back automatically into the patient record.

Interoperability
The build must connect seamlessly with our existing hospital management system, the laboratory information system, and insurance providers’ APIs. I can provide API docs and sandbox credentials for each during development. Data flows must remain bidirectional and near-real-time.

Security & compliance
Role-based access, audit trails, encryption in transit and at rest, and adherence to HIPAA (or equivalent local legislation) are essential.

Deliverables
1. Source-controlled codebase (React / Angular or similar front-end, Node / Django / Laravel or comparable back-end—open to the stack you propose).
2. Documented REST or GraphQL API layer for external integrations.
3. Migration-ready database schema with sample data.
4. Deployment scripts and step-by-step setup guide for our on-prem or cloud environment.
5. Final walkthrough and knowledge-transfer session.
