"My React app is live on Netlify and connects to a Supabase database. On the very first deployment I ran into multiple connectivity problems—most critically a timeout whenever a new user tries to register. All environment variables are already set in Netlify, so I need a deeper look at the way the Supabase client is initialized, any Netlify Functions-related networking quirks, CORS or rate-limit settings, and anything else that might block the handshake.

What I need from you: investigate the codebase (React + Node + Vite + supabase-js), reproduce the timeout on the live build, then adjust configuration or code so that user sign-up, login, and basic read/write operations succeed consistently.
