"I’m building a full-fledged video management platform, comparable to Milestone XProtect, that will protect sites with constrained internet links. The application must accept IP camera feeds, consolidate them into a single dashboard, and continue recording even when bandwidth dips to its lowest usable level.

Core features I have to see working:
• Motion detection with configurable sensitivity and masking
• Secure remote access (web and mobile) without exposing the cameras directly to the open internet
• Seamless cloud storage rollover so archived footage is available off-site at all times

The encoder/streaming layer has to adapt automatically—H.264/H.265, sub-stream switching, or any strategy you prefer—as long as it guarantees smooth viewing over limited bandwidth while preserving high-quality recordings on-prem.

Deliverables
1. Installable server package (Windows or Linux) with a step-by-step deployment guide
2. Client interface for live view, playback, and basic administration
3. Source code or documented SDK/API for future integrations

I’ll test with several IP cameras on a 1 Mbps uplink; the system must hold at least 7 days of footage per camera and keep latency below two seconds on live view.
