"I have an existing Android application that builds and runs correctly; it simply needs to be installed on a target device and then updated with a single new piece of functionality. The UI and current features are stable, so the task is narrowly focused on adding this extra capability without disturbing what already works.

The source code is ready in a Git repository, built with Android Studio (Gradle, Kotlin). After you clone the repo and confirm the current APK installs cleanly, I will outline the exact behaviour the new feature must deliver. In brief, it will tie into an already-exposed API endpoint, update one screen, and persist a small data change locally.

Deliverables
• Successful installation of the existing build on my test device
• Implementation of the new functionality, fully integrated and documented in code comments
• Updated APK and signed AAB for release, plus a short changelog
• Source pushed back to the repo, showing only the commits related to this feature
