"I need a straightforward short-news application built for Android first, created either in FlutterFlow (my preference) or in pure Flutter/code if you feel that suits the scope better.

Core flow
– The home screen shows bite-sized news cards grouped under categories such as Tech, World and Business.
– Navigation is handled through a clean top tab bar rather than a bottom bar or side drawer.
– Tapping a card opens an article detail page that must display the image, the author’s name and a small “Related articles” carousel.
– Users can opt into category-specific push notifications so they only receive alerts for topics they follow.

Backend & data
Supabase will host both the database and authentication layer. You may call a public news API for the latest headlines and combine that with an admin-only table where I can insert my own stories directly in Supabase or through a lightweight dashboard you provide. Please add basic local caching (last 20–50 items) and feel free to use Supabase Edge Functions if that helps response times.

Nice-to-have items
Dark mode, an offline fallback and AdMob will come in a later phase, so structure the code so they can be plugged in easily.

Deliverables
• Android APK and full, well-commented source code
• REST/Edge Function endpoints for full CRUD on articles
• Concise setup notes and any diagrams or environment variables needed to re-deploy
