"I work in Microsoft Word 2024 and often review long documents where blank paragraphs need to be marked with a run of dashes (e.g., “———”). It is simple task.

Here’s what I need:

• The macro scans the active document, detects any truly empty paragraph (no spaces, no hidden characters), and replaces it with a single paragraph containing a customizable string of dashes.
• It must run only when I choose to—ideally from a button I can click. I’m open to placing that button on the Ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar; choose whichever is cleaner to implement and let me know.
• The code has to be fully compatible with Word 365 and behave the same on both .docx and .doc templates.
• Please deliver the finished macro (as a .bas file or within a sample .docm), along with quick installation steps so I can import it, assign the button, and start using it right away.

Acceptance test: after I import the macro, create the button, and run it on a sample file, every truly blank paragraph should contain the dash string, and no existing content or formatting elsewhere should be altered.
