Project description:
"I want a small but useful feature added to LibreOffice: inside File → Recent Documents I should be able to right-click any entry and choose “Remove from list”. Once removed, LibreOffice must instantly reorder, renumber, resort and then persist the updated list so the change is visible next time the suite starts.
The work has to touch the core LibreOffice code so the patch can be submitted to The Document Foundation and land in every future release across Windows, macOS and Linux. I have never modified LibreOffice myself, so part of the job is packaging the patch in a form acceptable to the TDF review process (gerrit change, clean commit history, unit test where appropriate).
Key deliverables:
• Source-level implementation of the context-menu action, including UI string, help update and any needed icons.
• Logic for list mutation, resorting, renumbering and automatic saving.
• Cross-platform build verification (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• A self-contained patch or pull request ready for TDF submission, along with concise build and test instructions so I can reproduce the result locally.
Acceptance will rely on the feature behaving exactly as described, building cleanly on the three major platforms, and passing LibreOffice’s automated test suite.
Please let me know your implementation approach, estimated hours and any prior experience contributing to large open-source C++ codebases like LibreOffice." (client-provided description)
