Project description:
"I have a sensor-companion board built around an Arduino Teensy 4.1 that is normally compiled from inside Visual Studio in C++. A recent update has left the project refusing to build because of straight syntax errors—no missing libraries, no undefined references, just code that now trips the compiler. I already know the exact files and line numbers that throw the red flags, so you will be able to jump straight to the problem areas rather than hunting through the whole tree.
What I need first is a clean build that loads and runs on the hardware without altering any of the intended functionality. Once the immediate errors are cleared, I would also like you to fold in a small block of code that brings a new add-on peripheral online, so the brief naturally extends to a light refactor for readability and maintainability.
Essential context:
• Tooling is Visual Studio with the Teensy/Arduino tool-chain.
• Target is Teensy 4.1; the firmware talks to custom sensor hardware over Serial and peripherals over I²C and Serial.
• All project files, schematics and a concise error report are ready to share as soon as we start.
Deliverables:
1. Corrected source files that compile without warnings or errors.
2. Verified upload to a Teensy 4.1 (I can run final hardware tests here).
3. Integrated code stub for the new peripheral, wrapped in clear, well-commented C++.
If we hit those marks smoothly there will be follow-on work to flesh out the full sensor suite, so this first task can open the door to a longer collaboration. Preference is for someone local in South East Queensland, if possible." (client-provided description)
