"Overview:
We are looking for a skilled, part-time Full-Stack Developer to help us complete the final phase of our application's modernization.

The heavy lifting is already done! We have successfully migrated our legacy Django (0.96 / Python 2) backend to a modern stack (Python 3 / latest Django / Google Cloud Datastore). This foundational backend refactor is about 90% complete.

Your primary role will be to build upon this new foundation by developing new APIs with Django REST Framework and taking a significant role in building out our new Angular frontend (currently at ~20% completion).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a complex project, learn advanced Google Cloud integrations, and grow with a team in an inspiring industry. You'll work directly with me (as the project manager and lead dev) in a highly agile, low-meeting environment with active code reviews and mentorship.

Project Scope & Your Responsibilities:
Backend (The "Finishing Touches"):

Design, develop, and document new RESTful API endpoints using Django REST Framework (DRF) to support the new frontend.

Finalize and implement JWT authentication for securing all API endpoints, including token refresh mechanisms.

Integrate Google Cloud Storage client libraries for secure and efficient file handling (replacing older custom methods).

Assist in optimizing any remaining code and cleaning up the last pieces of the migration.

Frontend (The "New Build"):

Take a primary role in developing the new Angular frontend (currently ~20% complete).

Build new, reusable components, services, and modules in Angular.

Integrate the Angular application with the new Django REST Framework API.

Help manage the coexistence of legacy Django-rendered pages and the new Angular application during the transition.

Who We're Looking For:
Requirements:

Proven full-stack experience with both Django/DRF on the backend and Angular on the frontend.

Strong experience building, consuming, and securing RESTful APIs.

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially Google Cloud Datastore and Cloud Storage.

Solid understanding of JWT authentication flows.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

A problem-solver who can work independently and take ownership of the frontend development.

Bonus Points:

Familiarity with using AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to enhance productivity.
